Great selection of building stuff you might need for your garden. If you can pick up stuff yourselves, that’s cheaper than delivery which gets more expensive with more stuff you buy. Staff is helpful.

Good stop for a home fitted wardrobe project needing supplies. Much better selection of finished wood than B&Q. Only downside is I work a normal 9-5 week so getting to it when its open means a Saturday morning is the only option. All the staff are really helpful. Go out to the yard. Get a list of requirements together. Pay for it at the desk in the main building while the helpful yard crew get the items for you. Jump in the car, drive into the yard, load it directly. Top tips: Have a plan - there is a lot of different timber sizes available. Take a saw, generally 4m+ lengths so make sure you have something to cut it down with in the car with you (Make sure the saw you take is up to the job). Measuring tape is also a must.

Have used thistle timber a few times as they are local, decent outfit, prices reasonable, only 4 stars as they add VAT on right at the end which is annoying when comparing with other suppliers.

Good turnaround time for tipping.Don't get there before 07.30 though because their own lorries have to leave before you can get in. Nice lads.

The stock is prity good and the price is as better but a pity adout the10% delivery charge instead of a fixed price (the more you buy the more it costs) defeats the 10% discount on orders over 500£!?
